Kids

Well this happened. I guess I shouldn’t have left everything out with my two year old. I am actually amazed there isn’t more kid drawings in the book considering a lot of the Presidents had children present with them in the Oval Office. I’m sure they were more careful than me. Maybe not pull out the top secret stuff in front of toddlers with chalk. At least she’s doing good with her tracing. Look how she followed the current direction on the map. Sorry to historians though.
My phone interference is getting worse. I feel like I have to yell into the phone with my parents now. The phone company just keeps saying to find a good location in my house. They won’t do anything beyond that. I also changed my computer’s background the other day, and there was a tiny red spot. I tried downloading the image again and then putting it back on the screen, but it was still there. I loaded a white screen and I could see it better. I tried clicking on it, but it’s really small, like a single pixel. Still I managed and a black screen with white letters popped up lighting fast and then disappeared. It kind of looked like the script I guess when you install things on your computer. That’s what I found on the internet anyway. Just thought it was weird. I ran a virus scanner and it said everything was all good. Hopefully it stays that way.

Martin Van Buren – The Alamo

“One of our spies intercepted this message from the Mexican Army concerning the Alamo. Keep this in mind as we have further conflicts in the southwest. You’ll need one of their cipher wheels to solve the message. Getting our hands on one of those cost a few lives.
-Martin Van Buren 1839″
I haven’t figured out the last coded messages. I wonder if the message has anything to do with that deer-like creature shown. What is that?

Martin Van Buren – Shepherd of Sheep

“What kind of absurdity is this. I am endlessly blamed for the recession and the state of the market as it is. Every choice I make ridiculed and mocked. Now I receive this strange drawing of a harpy or Pagan goddess and an ominous message about drowning sheep. I do not have time for this. Whoever allowed this to be placed on my desk shall be fired immediately.
-Martin Van Buren 1837″
Written on the back of the card...
“FOR THE SHEPHERD OF SHEEP
THE MISTAKES THAT HE KEEPS
SECOND CHANCE WILL UNLOCK
BANK OF RIVER, DROWN THE FLOCK”
It seems to me like whoever sent this message was claiming that they caused the Panic of 1837. I didn’t even know there was a depression way back then. I’ve only ever heard of the Great Depression.

Andrew Jackson – Bell Witch

“Several years ago, I encountered the famed Bell Witch of Tennessee. Frankly, I found her company to be better than any member of the Whig party. I was on my way back to Nashville, so I wanted to see the legends for myself. As we approached the Bell farmstead the wagons stopped with no apparent reason. We tried everything to loosen them, but they would not budge. I knew it was the witch’s doing and I called out to her. A disembodied voice replied, “All right General, let the wagon move on, I will see you tonight.” We made camp and as night fell, we began telling stories. The witch hunter accompanying us began bragging about previous encounters with witches and showing off his Flintlock with a silver ball. I became irritated and called out again for the witch to show herself and prove this man a coward. To my surprise she obliged. She appeared in full this time, dressed in ragged clothing although she looked young. She challenged the fool witch hunter who then tried to fire on her. The pistol would not light, and she disappeared into shadow. The man was then struck by some unseen force. I swear the coward wept as he gathered his belongings faster than I have ever seen a man. I was so amused that I wished to stay and call upon the witch further, however my men being cowards convinced me to move on. I wonder if she would be willing to join my Cabinet.

Andrew Jackson – Second Bank

“It is my belief that the damned Illuminati have control over most of the banking systems of the world. We need to remain independently wealthy and print our own damn money. If the Second Bank of the United States is compromised, there is no telling what the Illuminati or any other powerful organization might do. Other men might submit to these demons, but I will not see this nation come under control of some shadow organization. I have proposed to the House of Buffoons and the Senate of Incompetence to stop using the Second Bank and use precious metals such as gold and silver as coinage. Even if I am wrong and the Illuminati are not controlling the banks, what value is there in paper. I suppose a wealthy man might have more kindling for a fire or sufficient tissues to wipe his ass.
