Written on the back of the card...

THE MISTAKES THAT HE KEEPS
SECOND CHANCE WILL UNLOCK
BANK OF RIVER, DROWN THE FLOCK”
It seems to me like whoever sent this message was claiming that they caused the Panic of 1837. I didn’t even know there was a depression way back then. I’ve only ever heard of the Great Depression.
